Is a Mad Science summer camp a great way to avoid both?
Well, let's see. Last summer, my kids:
- used a potato to conduct electricity
- learned about the major organs in your body
- demonstrated the nervous system using maracas
- created a cell out of slime, glitter and lentils
All in a span of just a few days!
Mad Science summer camp was a wonderful experience for my kids. They got to see science in action, learn new vocabulary without realizing it, and had FUN! For me, seeing what they learned each day brought back plenty of science class memories and confirmed to me that yes, these kids were actually learning something.
